Abstract

The society that we living in have postindustrial characteristics, mainly due to technological development that in turn brought great social and environmental transformations.  The reflexes of these transformations can be seeing at different dimensions of people’s life, such as the lack of time and space dedicated to leisure activities, in order to increase awareness of the leisure culture.  The main focus here was to indicate a connection between children’s leisure activities, playfulness and the environment, pointing out that any unbalanced distribution between this three variables, will alter the relationship between social and natural environment, decreasing the importance of the natural resources of our cities around the planet.
