THE MANAGEMENT OF SPORT AND LEISURE IN THE MINISTRY OF SPORT
INSTITUTIONAL DESIGN AND MAIN ACTIONS (2003-2018)

From the creation of the Ministry of Sport, we analyze how the period from 2003 to 2018 developed and what facts marked this trajectory, especially in the scope of leisure policies. To achieve this objective, we carried out a documentary research, followed by a bibliographical survey of the literature related to the explored theme. In general terms, it is possible to notice that, over the course of 15 years, there have been government transitions and organizational restructuring, consequent alternation of managers, changes in routes permeated by political disputes, agreements and contradictions. ‘Movements’ that undoubtedly reached the management of actions, programs and projects developed by the Ministry of Sport, especially in partnership with municipal and state governments and public Higher Education Institutions.Downloads
