Abstract

The present work is dedicated to presenting an excerpt from the research on how the COVID 19 pandemic affected access to leisure by the UFRRJ teaching segment. In this sense, it presents a discussion about teaching, understood as work relationships that involve teaching, research, extension and administrative activities, now extrapolating even more to the domestic universe during the health emergency. Through a qualitative and inductive approach, it brings a correlation of data related to research on the process of precariousness of teaching working conditions with the right to leisure, pointing out laws, norms and historical issues that structure the career of teachers in the federal education network, compiled into 12 scientific articles sorted as a result of a bibliographical survey. As for the results, the way in which there is an intense relationship with work overload is articulated, with emphasis on the pandemic period, linking to themes related to leisure. Finally, in addition to showing how the teaching category does not stand out as an object of study in the field of leisure, this research contributes to the advancement of knowledge about labor relations in a pandemic period and new ways of enjoying leisure in the scientific community linked to universities.
