Abstract

Starting with the analysis of the feature film I travel because I have to, I come back because I love you (Brazil, 2009), directed by Karim Aïnouz and Marcelo Gomes, the article investigates one of the major characteristics of contemporary Latin American road movies: the minimum narrative.

Professora do curso de graduação em Cinema e Audiovisual do Instituto de Comunicação e Artes do Centro Universitário UMA. Doutora e mestre em Artes pela Escola de Belas Artes da UFMG, onde defendeu a tese Filmes de estrada e América Latina: caminhos de uma estética e narrativa própria.
