The objective of this work was to discover the nurses' view of the implementation of the program for the systematic organization of nursing in the ICU of a philanthropic hospital in Belo Horizonte. Data was collected through interviews with the nurses and was worked quantitatively and qualitatively. All the nurses had a positive view of the program for the systematic organization of nursing and considered it as the "essence of nursing" and a way to assure professional autonomy. They think this methodology contributes towards quality in nursing care and allows for a better organization of the service, as well as making the profession more scientific.Downloads
