This study examines the meanings given by patients to their experience living through a time in Intensive Care Units (ICUs). We adopted as our methodology the principles of phenomenology, and our reference is "Phenomenon Qualitative Analysis". The discourses collected were identified and divided into three themes: "the meaning of body injuries", "professional care for those who need to be cared for", and "world-life in a hospital context".Downloads
