This study's main objective was to identify primary care nurses' knowledge about the Integrated Management of Childhood Illness and Comprehensive Child Care strategies in the municipality of Aracaju-SE. The data were collected through a questionnaire containing 20 closed-ended and multiple-choice questions. The data was tabulated and filled in Excel 2007 and analyzed using "Statistic Package for the Social Sciences" 13.0 version. Descriptive and analytical criterions were used with a quantitative approach. The obtained results suggested there is no significant difference (p > 0.05) betwe en trained (54.5%) and not trained (45.5%) nurses in the strategy and the knowledge profile was less than expected. In conclusion, training and protocol supervision of childhood prevalent illnesses are necessary to primary care nurses.Downloads
