This study intended to identify the values underlying care for victims in the ambulance service and get to know ethical aspects in caring for victims, in order to guide nurses in their care. Thirteen nurses were interviewed and Bardin's analysis was used. The issues discussed were: recognizing intrinsic values in humane care; caring for the victim and family; ethical reflections on caring for the victims; care with the work team and relationship between professional training and healthcare. The results showed that ethics as an instrument in care affects the quality of the care.Downloads
