Abstract

Case study of a patient with heart problems. The was objective to evaluate the nursing care based in the theory of the adaptation of Roy. After the evaluation of incentives and behavior, nine nursing diagnoses were elaborated. The goals and interventions were established starting from the adaptatives modes of Roy, specifically two: physiologic and self-concept. The results showed a relationship between the taxonomy of NANDA and the adaptatives modes used, as well as effectiveness in the interventions proposals. We concluded that the theory of Roy was applicable and effective for the development of a Nursing Process on the studied case.
