Abstract

This study sought to identify the vaccination profile of students graduating in healthcare courses in the state of Goiás, Brazil, comparing this to the vaccines recommended for healthcare workers. Students were from the final year of the course. Data was obtained through a baseline questionnaire, observing ethical and legal aspects, and assessed through descriptive statistics. Even though vaccination is the most effective measure to prevent infectious contagious diseases, compliance by last year students is low: the percentage was not satisfactory. Among the students who had not been immunized, most had taken the anti-hepatitis B vaccine provided during the collection. We consider it to be necessary and urgent to work with higher education institutions, in order to change the immunization situation in order to prevent and control of diseases.
