Mental health in the basic healthcare: reflections about the articulation between psychosocial care centers (CAPS) and family health program (PSF)

Abstract

In this article we make a bibliographical review of stories of experiences of work in mental health in the basic attention with the objective to reflect as the ideas and conceptions of the movement of the Sanitary and Psychiatric Reformation have been apprehended for the professionals of mental health after its normalization in the SUS. We reviewed articles that simultaneously dealt with subjects CAPS and PSF produced between 1996 and 2006. We carried through a discourse analysis about the possibilities and difficulties that pointed how much was possible that continuation of that development of the assistance experiences in the perimeter between the two strategies. The practical of bio psychosocial theories in the daily assistance depends at the period of training of technician-politician development of workers, users and managers of the health services. We conclude that the mobilization of the ideological elements of the process of the work in mental health makes possible that the gradual changes happen in the practical attention of the services substitutes for the model of the asylum. The changes are related with the work process steps: finality, object, instruments of work en final product.
