This study describes the profile of 54 patients in a hospital, with spinal cord injury, for pressure ulcers and associated factors. It is a young male population. The most common trauma was in the chest spine and was more frequent in the sacral and heel regions and when the length of stay was longer than sixteen days. There is a need for institutional measures to prevent ulcers, which should involve a multidisciplinary team, the patient and his caregiver/family members.Downloads
