Travesti-terrorist plastic-scriptural surgery

Abstract

This essay is divided into three parts: 1) propaganda for utopia; 2) travesti-terrorist rewriting; 3) performances. In the first part, I try to propose that in the analysis of the anarchist tactic of propaganda through action, too much emphasis is placed on action and the element of propaganda is forgotten, that is, its advertising element of theoretical content. Another thing is to point out that perhaps there is a historical line that involves propaganda through action, happenings and current performances. Thus, I believe I can affirm the existence of a propaganda for utopia that makes up several current manifestos, but specifically the Traveco-Terrorist Manifesto by Terluliana Lustosa. In the second part, I think of Tertuliana's manifesto as a literary practice, but one that involves a possible desert experience and a policy of disidentification. In the last part, I analyze two performances by Lustosa – the cuceta travesti terrorist and the legend of the milk lock – with the aim of showing a dissident utopia and the possible expansion of ways of life.
