Resumen

Este artículo pretende demostrar que las principales tradiciones liberales de desobediencia civil no logran captar plenamente las características específicas de este fenómeno como práctica genuinamente democrática y de contestación política, ya que la desobediencia civil no puede reducirse simplemente a una comprensión jurídica o ética en términos de individualidad. conciencia o fidelidad a la ley. Al desarrollar esta propuesta con más detalle, primero defino la desobediencia civil con el propósito de explicar cuidadosamente por qué el modelo liberal estándar, si bien es capaz de proporcionar un punto de partida útil, en última instancia conduce a una comprensión excesivamente estrecha, domesticada y sanitizante del complejo sistema político. práctica que es la desobediencia civil.
