Abstract

We seek to report the processes developed by the Parque-Escola Chacrinha Extension Program (PROEX/Federal University of São João del-Rei - UFSJ), through the actions that most involved institutional partnerships, located in Araçá, São João del-Rei, Minas Gerais, in the years of 2014 and 2015. The association between research, teaching and extension in the praxis arising from the articulation of agents, institutions and collective proposals, are the central axis of the tactical urbanism applied in the territory. From the discussion of the city as a work, we return to the conception of the extension program in the face of the neoliberal growth process of cities and community and institutional articulations that guide popular claims as a way of listening and interacting through the Democratic State. We present, at the end, the narrative and analysis of the processes that culminated in the communication and execution of proposals for improvement in collective equipment and structural reforms in the residences. The proposal envisions ways of going from place to ideas, reporting processes of building and inhabiting while living in the environment.
