Abstract
This study aims to present and analyze aspects of the representations of the Muses in literary and iconographic works produced between the VI b.C. e II a.C. The research seeks to understand the variations related to the origin, functions, and image of these deities, taking into account the specificities of each historical period, literary genre, iconographic style, or school of thought that influenced their interpretation. The study adopts a systematic approach, organizing the sources into specific categories to identify patterns of continuity and transformation in their representations over time. This analysis provides a broader perspective on the role of the Muses in Greek culture and their symbolic evolution in antiquity.
