Résumé

Este artigo explora o fenômeno de imagens viajantes no antigo Oriente Médio, abordando como elas transcendem o espaço e o tempo. A partir da teoria arqueológica, especialmente a "arqueologia das imagens" (Bildarchäologie), é proposta uma visão crítica sobre a vida das imagens, desde sua criação até sua reutilização ou destruição. Focando nas interconexões iconográficas a partir da Mesopotâmia, destaca-se a importância da repetitividade e da adaptação de motivos visuais em novos contextos culturais. Assim podemos compreender como as imagens funcionavam enquanto veículos de comunicação, refletindo e influenciando as dinâmicas sociais e políticas das sociedades antigas.
