Resumo

Lesões bucais são comuns nos pacientes pediátricos infectados pelo HIV. Estas doenças relacionam- se com o estado de saúde geral do paciente e com o seu prognóstico frente à HAART (Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy). Este artigo teve como objetivo descrever, conforme relatos na literatura científica, as principais lesões estomatológicas associadas ao HIV presentes em pacientes pediátricos, destacando as suas formas clínicas, diagnóstico e possíveis tratamentos e, com isso auxiliar no exame intra-oral regular e acompanhamento do paciente.
