O presente artigo procura tratar das principais áreas do Direito Internacional que são afetadas pela “Guerra ao Terror”. Analisa-se, portanto, as regras gerais, as controvérsias e as novas tendências concernindo o Uso da Força, o Direito Internacional Humanitário, o Direito Internacional dos Direitos Humanos e Direito Penal Internacional. A execução de Osama Bin Laden, o maior evento recente relacionado com a “Guerra ao Terror”, é analisada também.

The “War on Terror” and the deat h of Osama BinLaden: rules, controversies and new tendencies inInternational Law
Abstract: The present article aims to address the main areas of International Law which has been affected by the “War on Terror”. Thus, it analyses the general rules, controversies and new tendencies regarding the Use of Force, the International Humanitarian Law, the International Law of Human Rights and the International Criminal Law. The execution of Osama Bin Laden, the biggest recent event related to the “War on Terror”, is analysed as well.
