The Marxian critique of speculation and original historical relations in "Feuerbach and History"

This work intends to expose the Marxian critique of speculation in an excerpt from The German Ideology (1845-46) entitled Feuerbach and History, especially when such an idealistic manifestation seeks to sustain the opposition between nature and history. To this end, it will use the approach that J. Chasin called immanent criticism, that is, the apprehension of the analyzed texts as concrete entities, with their own connections and meanings, based on their genesis, structure and social function. In the midst of the described itinerary, the object itself will make it necessary to examine what Marx named original historical relations, proposed by him as inalienable assumptions for any historical analysis. Thus, it will take advantage of this link between the Marxian critique of speculation and original historical relations to discuss the materialist conception of history and its foundation: real men, inserted in and acting on a state of things that is also real.
