Abstract

This paper investigates the relationship between deliberative democracy in contemporary political philosophy and transparency in political and social discussions. Based on an analysis of the historical and conceptual foundations of political philosophy, the study examines the evolution of the idea of democracy in its various forms — direct, representative, participatory, and mainly deliberative. The concept of deliberative democracy is discussed, emphasizing the main theorists who contributed to its development. The research analyzes the fundamental principles of this model, which highlight the importance of citizen participation in the political decision-making process through rational and inclusive dialogue. The comparative analysis with other democratic models reveals the unique benefits and challenges of deliberative democracy, underscoring its contribution to legitimacy, transparency, and justice in political decisions. It concludes that deliberative democracy offers a promising approach to address the political challenges of the 21st century and to foster greater transparency in the democratic process, promoting a culture of active participation and constructive dialogue among citizens.
