The world has in its entirety some straits, channels, seas and others, which are part of not only the landscape, but also the political / strategic contribution of one or more countries. One of these straits is the Bering Strait, located between Russia and the United States. The objective is to expose and compare the importance of the Bering Strait from the 1990s to the present day. The methodological procedures will include bibliographic survey and critical and comparative analysis. Thus, the study proposed here is justified by the importance of proceeding with knowledge about territories that have a different dynamics in relationships and desires, and about the supposed importance of the area. It can be seen how the previous applications of geopolitics still apply today.
