Abstract

This paper aims to reflect on the capacity of urban planning policies to contribute to urban development, understood as socio-environmental advances, based on the insertion of city dwellers in their implementation. Therefore, theoretical paths related to the production of space and perceptions of everyday experiences will be followed. And, from this approach to present issues related to the possibilities of autonomous participation in the processes of urban planning.
