The investigation was qualitative, of the fieldwork type, that used semi-structured interviews as a research instrument. The research participants were the first graduates of the Licentiate's in Rural Education - Natural Sciences, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. The analysis technique of the answers obtained in the interviews was the Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA). The results were discussed based on four categories which are: the marks resulting from the training, pedagogy of alternation, training in Natural Sciences and interdisciplinarity. In response to the research problem, interdisciplinarity aimed at understanding the lived world, is the central element that articulates the dialogue between the Rural Education and the Sciences of the Nature, in the trainning teachers in the rural context.
