CURRICULUM DOCUMENT, CURRICULUM PERFORMANCE
Keywords:
Curriculum, Performance, Body, FictionAbstract
This text is aimed at showing the link between curricula and performance. This intent is
opposed to the notion of curriculum as document. The notions of fiction and body are included in the
field of performance, as well as in the productions that intertwine Performance Studies and the field of
Education. A review of the main references on Performance and Education is presented. It is discussed
the preeminence of the logic of the document, the actuality and the visible in detriment of memory and
knowledge transmission by means of the embodied practices, for their ephemerality. It is claimed that
the performance perspective, having as operators the notions of body and fiction, allows to understand
ephemerality as a constituent part of the practices of memory and knowledge transmission. Performance
curricula, opposing to the idea of document curriculum, are proposed as a possibility of inconstancy in
the processes of knowledge construction.
