INTEGRATIVE REVIEW ON EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE FORMATION OF SCIENTISTS

Abstract

The formation of scientists is a long-term social investment that contributes to society through the construction of knowledge that can be applied to urgent societal issues. Training scientists requires the mobilization of various chains of social actors. Nevertheless, the scientific literature presents numerous reports of experiences from around the world and different institutions that contribute to the development and discussion of scientist training. This study aims to identify and understand the main strategies for training scientists presented in the scientific literature. An integrative literature review was conducted between the years 2003 and 2022, focusing on scientist training, identifying and understanding the reported experiences of scientist formation. As a result, experiences of interdisciplinary training, methodological capacity-building, internationalization of training, educational management activities, and the incorporation of scientific dissemination into the curriculum are identified as beneficial training practices for aspiring scientists.

Possui Graduação em Pedagogia pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (1986), Mestrado em Educação pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (1992), Doutorado em Educação pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (2003) e Pós - Doutorado pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (2014). É professora da Faculdade de Medicina de Juazeiro do Norte - FMJ e dos Programas de Pós-Graduação: Programa de Mestrado Profissional em Educação PMPEDU/URCA e PROFHISTÒRIA/URCA. Pesquisa nas áreas de: Educação, com ênfase em História da Educação, Política Educacional e Formação de Professores; Saúde e Violência; Feminino e Violência; Infância - adolescência e Violência. Atua em ações de Extensão nas áreas de: Educação e Saúde; Educação e movimentos sociais.
