Resumo

This paper aims at reflecting about the realtionship between Affonso Ávila's poetry and his critical texts. These productions originate a tension with baroque and modern texts, as well as with creative procedures, allowing an investigation about the Brazilian literary tradition and about the other historical aspects of the culture of Minas Gerais.
