This article describes the actions of the ECOMUSEU DO CIPÓ Project – ESPAÇO CULTURAL NHÁ RITA, sponsored by the Fundo Estadual de Cultura de Minas Gerais, carried out from february 6 to June 30, 2018. The project aimed at reorganizing the memory room called Espaço Cultural Nhá Rita, set in the slave quarters of Fazenda do Cipó. The farm represents an important construction of the Brazilian colonial period. It is located in Serra do Cipó, Minas Gerais, and it was also listed by the municipality of Jaboticatubas in 1996. The NGO Baí has been responsible for the actions of Ecomuseu do Cipó since 2011. According with Ecomuseum concepts, the project brought together the community and the technical team in order to safeguard the material and immaterial cultural assets contained in the Nhá Rita Cultural Space.
