A REDE SOCIAL COMO INSTRUMENTO PARA PROTEÇÃO DO PATRIMÔNIO

O CASO DA FESTA EM LOUVOR A NOSSA SENHORA DO ROSÁRIO DE CATALÃO (GO)

Abstract

For over 140 years, the Festival in Praise to Our Lady of the Rosary has taken place in the city of Catalão, state of Goiás. The Festival was the object of research in the master's dissertation entitled: “Under the Rosary: ​​objects and places of the Festival in Praise to Our Lady of the Rosary of Catalão, Goiás ”, defended in 2016, by the School of Architecture and Design of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. The paper proposed here aims to report the experience of the challenge of bringing the research carried out closer to the community, using an informal and democratic language. For this, a page was created on the social media, Facebook, where the researcher and the community endured during the research, and continue, with the aim of disseminating and preserving the cultural manifestation. All results obtained through the dissertation were and still are published on the social media. In addition, the community feels belonging to the page and also publishes photographs, videos and events related to the festival.
