Abstract

In Brazil, the promulgating of the Law of Waters in 1997 started a period of incentive of the hydrological studies. The Brazilian Magazine of Hydric Resources reflected this dynamic process through the receiving and publication of returned works to several aspects of the study of waters. Aware of that Geography is a science that studies various aspects related to the waters, this work looked for investigating the recent national production about water resources, published in RBRH between 2001 and 2007, identifying and pointing out works of fisical geography, according to the academical formation of the authors, institution and state of origin theme and subtheme of the works. In the articles which present connection with fisical geography it looked for identifying the fields of connective geographycal knowledge. The research revealled that RBRH presents access to the publication of works of geographical feature, but these works are elaborated mainly by engineers. Among the fields of geographical knowledge present in the publications, outstanding the geography of hydric recourses, the climatology and geomorphology, all of them with high percentage of connections. The principal institutions which had participated of the works of geographical production are set in the south and southeast regions, among them it can point out the USP and the UFRGS.
