Problemas metafísicos de la Re-Actuación
Nuevas perspectivas sobre la filosofía de la historia de R. G. Collingwood

La concepción de la historia en R. G. Collingwood se articula en torno a dos tesis fundamentales: que toda historia es historia del pensamiento y que el historiador debe reactuar pensamientos pasados. Entendidas como condiciones de posibilidad del conocimiento histórico, estas tesis han suscitado interpretaciones divergentes y críticas persistentes. Uno de los principales focos del debate concierne al estatuto y a la posibilidad misma de la reactuación Del acto original de pensamiento. Mientras autores como Dray, D’Oro y Robson han defendido lecturas que destacan, respectivamente, la fuerza racional, los patrones inferenciales o el carácter continuante del pensamiento, Eric Levy ha cuestionado la teoría, calificándola de “agujero metafísico” en la filosofia de la historia de Collingwood. Frente a estas posiciones, este trabajo sostiene que la teoría de la reactuación solo puede evaluarse adecuadamente a partir de su inserción sistemática en la metafísica y en la teoría de la mente defendidas por Collingwood. Sobre esta base, se propone una lectura trascendental de La reactuación, entendiéndola como una reflexión sobre la constitución del objeto histórico por parte del sujeto cognoscente. En este marco, el artículo examina la viabilidad de una concepción de la reactuación que, al asumir explícitamente sus compromisos metafísicos, permita responder a las aporías señaladas por la crítica contemporánea.
