Abstract

From the analyses that Deleuze and Guattari devote to the study of capitalism in the two works that make up Capitalism and Schizophrenia, we take up here the following aspects: that under this economic system desire is desire for money; that capitalism is characterized by the tendency towards the unlimited and that money reaches its maximum abstraction under this regime as a financial or mutant flow. From this state of affairs, we propose to show the oikological foundation of money in the lifeworld, starting from a study of the first book of Aristotle's Politics and the phenomenological analyses of hunger and joy in Totality and Infinity. From this oikological genesis, we propose to explain the abstract becoming of money as part of the process of mathematization of nature that, for the Husserl of Crisis of the European Sciences and Transcendental Phenomenology, characterizes modern science. Finally, we offer an alternative to the unlimitedness of capitalism based on the design of monetary instruments that allow the reversal of financial flows over the world of life: new objects of desire that allow the concretization of money.
