Desenvolvimentos da fenomenologia nos Estados Unidos da América e na Grã-Bretanha

Resumo

O presente artigo considera, inicialmente, o desenvolvimento da fenomenologia nos Estados Unidos da América a partir de William James e da transferência de importantes filósofos europeus para aquele país devido a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Em seguida apresenta a contribuição de Erwin Straus para a antropologia e para a psiquiatria fenomenológica, bem como a formação do World Institute for Advanced Phenomenological Research and Learning com Tymieniecka e outros. Periódicos como Philosophy and Phenomenological  Research, Analecta Husserliana, Journal of Phenomenological Psychology, e The Journal of the Society for Existential Analysis, dentre tantos outros, são apresentado com seus programas interdisciplinares, interculturais e internacionais.
