The present paper presents an unpublished translation in free verse of the poem Latin Gigantomachy, by Claudius Claudian. The text, whose date of composition is still unknown by scholars, is located in the group of Claudian's minor poems. Having as theme the battle between gods and giants caused by the envy the Earth felt towards the superior gods, the poem, composed in hexameters, arrived incomplete to our days, having only 128 verses. This work contains, besides the translation with notes accompanied by the original text, a presentation of the author and considerations regarding the text that will be translated.
