Homeric Hymn XXVIII, Palas Athena, translationAbstract
This work aims to present a possible translation of Homeric Hymn XXVIII, dedicated to the Greek goddess Pallas Athena. The method used was free verse, seeking to approximate the meaning of the terms in the source language (Ancient Greek) with their correspondents in the target language (Brazilian Portuguese) and, as necessary, adaptations were made in order to preserve the essence of the composition. As a result, this work presents the entire translation of the hymn, so that students of Classical Languages and Literatures, as well as others interested in Classical Studies, have access to another possible translation of the composition dedicated to the goddess Pallas Athena.
