Poetry and Sensation in Orides Fontela

Abstract

this article aims to investigate Orides Fontela’s poetry as a space of affections and sensations capable of demonstrating in textual materiality a theory of creation and development of poetic subjectivity. Therefore, through the analysis of the poems, the conception of “matter-emotion” and the “lyrical subject outside himself”, by Michel Collot, are nuclear for understanding the compositional logic of the texts. Through these concepts, both subject and world are imbricated and form this affective relationship matter-emotion emerges, namely, a space of poetic fruition whereby subject and world are reciprocal and imbricated densities without hierarchies.
