This article presents an analysis of the ethos inherent to the autobiography of the author Tatiana Belinky. To do so, I considered the author function and the pre-discursive ethos as foreshadowing of an authorial image, giving the reader expectations linked to the ethos of the author before the reading process. In this vein, the media was an important tool for mediation between Belinky and the readers of her works. Some autobiographical events were selected for the sake of the analysis of the discursive ethos. In those, the building of an adult and a child ethos as relating to different discourses could be observed in instances of enunciation.
