In this paper, I propose to highlight the theoretical and practical dynamics of recognition and misrecognition that occur in the various contexts of the struggle for recognition. I will use these analyzes to extract from Ricoeur’s thought: the implications of this struggle with regard to the relations man establishes with himself and with the world; the ability to overcome conflicts and to fulfill an idea of the good life through the experiences of mutual recognition.
