About the Journal

Outramargem: Journal of Philosophy is a periodical dedicated to the international electronic publication of high-quality research in the fields of Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art, Ethics and Political Philosophy, Ancient and Medieval Philosophy, Modern and Contemporary Philosophy, Logic, Science, Mind, and Language. Known for the diversity of topics it covers, its issues are published on a continuous flow basis (rolling pass), with two thematic issues per year, and include articles, reviews, translations, interviews, and philosophical essays.

Although the journal’s official language is Portuguese, Outramargem also publishes research in English, Spanish, and French. Founded at the initiative of graduate students from the Graduate Program in Philosophy at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), the journal’s main objective is to bring together and disseminate high-quality research, contributing to a broader and more integrated view of academic production in philosophy.
