Information needs of biotechnology incubated companies in Minas Gerais

Abstract

This paper analyzes the information needs of biotechnology incubated companies in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. It identifies, by means of Sense Making model, the main difficulties faced by the entrepreneurs, assesses the information sources most used and how the information obtained is used. The data for the exploratory study was gathered through semi-structured interviews with entrepreneurs and incubator managers.
