Cultural, art and health journals from Mercosul countries in Brazilian institutional libraries

Abstract

Bibliometric study, which approaches the presence of countries which are associated to the Mercosul in Brazilian libraries, comparing it with those of other South-American countries or with languages which are historically and culturally related to Brazil. The CCN (National Cultural, Art and Health journals from Mercosul countries in brazilian institutional libraries.Collective Catalogue of Serial Publications), was utilized as data source. The results have shown reduced presence of South-American journals and suggests inexistence of the compensation factors, that may appear as a consequence of expansion of cultural and scientific relation interactions via the Mercosul.
