The scientific article as a way of disseminating knowledge in the field of information science: the NBR 6022/2003 style manual

Abstract

The present work, in agreement with the recommendations of the Brazilian Association of Technical Norms (ABNT) in its NBR 6022/2003 - Information and Documentation Article regarding printed articles in scientific periodic publication, presents the structure of an original scientific article of research activities, whose purpose is to turn public part of a research work used as vehicle of knowledge diffusion. It exposes, in a general manner, the rules of presentation, citation and bibliography, with the purpose of standardizing the scientific communication, emphasizing its importance and function in the elaboration of a high quality scientific article.
