Since the most primitive organizations, the human being behaves as a gregarious individual and group experiences are the basis for a social, collective and individual identity. Group studies are seen in many knowledge areas, including Nursery. This area stands for a collective and continuous group work with a male nurse as a reference. As part of the group, a male nurse assumes supervisory and leadership duties to legitimize his coordinating role. This article proposes a reflexion about this role based on the conceptions of operative groups suggested by Enrique Pichon-Rivière. According to his ideas, learning results from each individual's experiences and represents an opportunity for growth. This dialectic movement of construction, deconstruction and reconstruction aims to make clear what is implicit in it. The male nurse, as a group coordinator, must consider the complexity of the network links and of the social relationships to make changes.Downloads
