Abstract

The subject of this text is to show some events, happenings and aspects related to the history of the School of Nursing of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, that is celebrating its seventieth anniversary in 2003. It is divided in two large periods: one, from the creation of the school, in 1933, until 1968, and the other, from 1968 to the present days.
