Abstract

Aspects of the importance of information for the Nursing development are covered. Their use and "miss-use", their role in the building of the PROGRAM FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF NURSING IN MINAS GERAIS (PRODEn), the needing on the creation of control mechanisms for bibliographical production in the field with the setting up of the BDENF-Nursing Data Base considering its concept, objectives, justification and the methodology used to set it up, run it, and, mainly, the importance of making information known through the SUREnf-Brazilian Sub-Network of Nursing Information of the BIREME/PAHO System.
