This work intends to identify issues related to the interest, satisfaction and motivation of workers in teams of the Family Health Program, showing the importance of these factors for public health management in Brazil. The research, which is qualitative and quantitative, used semi-structuredinterviews; the data gathered showed ahigh level ofwork satisfactionfor auxiliaries (nursing auxiliaries and community health agents, 75% and 68.4%, respectively), in spite of the low salaries. Among higher education workers, there were dental surgeons, with a high level of dissatisfaction (83.3%) and the physicians, mostly satisfied (71.4%). We conclude that most of the workers showed interest in the program. The importance of recognizing subjective factors is also significant to optimize the dynamics of health work.Downloads
