This study proposes the use of the Birth Ball as a tool for women who would like to be in more comfortable positions during the early phase of labor. Forty women from the "Dr. David Capistrano" birthing center were involved, randomized into 2 groups: those using the birth ball, and a control group. The results showed there was no statistically significant difference between the groups. This is probably the result of former routines in the center, which already used the upright position.Downloads
