Introduction: Educational videos have proven to be an effective strategy for training teachers and strengthening prevention and health education in famale prisons. Objective: To describe the development, contente validation, and semantic evaluation of an educational vídeo on Sexually Transmitted Infections aimed at training teachers working in schools within female prison units.
Materials and Methods: A methodological study conducted in three stages: 1) vídeo development; 2) contente validation by 22 nurses; and 3) semantic evaluation by ten famale school teachers from a female prison unit in Northeastern Brazil. Data analysis adopted content validation indices ≥ 0.90, the binomial test, and a semantic agrément index ≥ 0.70. Results: The video, developed in the Draw My Life format, addresses sexually transmitted infections in the context of female prison schools and provides guidance on how to approach the topic in the classroom. In content validation, six of the 17 instrument items showed agreement < 0.90. In the semantic evaluation, all items achieved full agreement among the teachers.
Conclusion: Considered by expert judges to be valid in terms of content and understandable by the target audience, the material can be used for training on sexually transmitted infections
