Demographic and clinical characteristics of psychosocial adaptation in women with breast cancer
Keywords:
Breast Neoplasm, AdaptationAbstract
This study examines psychosocial, demographic, and clinical adjustment correlates in 120 women treated for breast cancer. Analysis suggests that the presence of grown-up children living at home, higher education, and higher family income was related to increased psychosocial adjustment levels. Changes at work due to the disease and tumor stage IIIC were associated with psychological and social problems. The findings offer an important basis to understand variables associated with adaptation to breast cancer treatment.Downloads
