Measuring the measure of the wound is a fundamental aspect of assessment. Nevertheless, in clinical practice, subjective methods are still being used for this purpose. Today, one of the existing methods is planimetry. A systematic review of literature was carried out to analyze the use of planimetry as a means to measure wounds in the skin, gastric mucosa and eyes.
